Sebring 15th March - The race provided a really unlucky start for the three F333 SP entered in the Sebring 12 Hours, second round of the IMSA Championship. The three cars occupied the first three places on the grid. In pole position was car number 3 (Team Scandia) driven by Frenchman Yannick Dalmas and the Swedish Stefan Johannson, Spain's Fermin Velez and Andy Evans. Alongside side them was the second Team Scandia car, No. 43, in the hands of Charles Morgan, partnered by Rob Morgan, Velez and Evans. Third was the Team Momo car No. 30, driven by Gianpiero Moretti, Didier Theys, Antonio Hermann and Andrea Montermini. However, on the first lap, Morgan and Moretti both lost several places. Yannick Dalmas took off in the lead, followed by James Weaver's Ford Riley & Scott Mk.III, who made an unfair move, ramming Dalmas' Ferrari, puncturing a tyre. Forced to pit to change wheels, Dalmas rejoined in sixth place. At the end of the first hour, Weaver led followed by Wayne Taylor's Oldsmobile, Moretti's Ferrari and Rob Dyson in the other Ford.
