Thanks to increased power (an additional 10 hp) and a 100 kg reduction in weight (USA 70 kg), the new range-leading Gallardo Superleggera is even more dynamic than the already very sporty Gallardo. The weight/power ratio of the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera is only 2.5 kg/hp, which puts it unquestionably at the top.

Automobili Lamborghini anxiously began 2006 with the highly anticipated unveiling of the “Lamborghini Miura Concept,” a modern interpretation of the Lamborghini Miura. Currently celebrating its 40th Anniversary, the Miura was originally designed by Marcello Gandini and was first publicly presented at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show by Ferruccio Lamborghini and Nuccio Bertone. To this day, the Miura remains one of the most beautiful cars ever created.

The limited Special Edition is richly equipped with standard features such as a rear view camera, which in combination with the build in multimedia screen facilitates parking. The sports suspensions with the sports steering wheel and in combination with the P Zero Corsa tire (specifically developed by Pirelli for more ambitious driving) are all standard features on the Special Edition. The long list of standard equipment comprises also an exclusive car cover.

As with every Lamborghini, the Gallardo Spyder adopts the stylistic principles of purity, athleticism and sharpness. The Spyder is not just an open-top version of the Coupé, it sets forth the tradition as seen with Murcielago Coupé and Roadster creating a self standing model.

Ferruccio Lamborghini - born under the zodiac sign of Taurus - when he founded the famous super car company, that since then bears his name, gave it to the symbol of the fighting bull. Later, in the "60s decade, when the Miura was introduced, he named the car after the famous bull's race, and this practice became a tradition for the House of the Bull. Honoring this tradition, the Management of Automobili Lamborghini have decided to baptize their latest model with the name of a fighting bull's breed: The Gallardo.

At the 2003 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show, Lamborghini unveiled the Murciélago R-GT, a new race car derived from its acclaimed super sports car, the Lamborghini Murciélago. The Murciélago R-GT, developed jointly with renowned race engineering company Reiter Engineering in Germany, and parent company Audi’s sports division Audi Sport, offers Lamborghini clients a highly competitive car with which to participate in global professional motorsport.

The Diablo 6.0 sets a new benchmark for high performance sports cars. The only comparison can be made to the Diablo MY 99 with increase of the engine capacity of 285 cc to 5,992 cc, delivering 20 hp more, reaching then a maximum power of 550 hp. The torque is even better with 620 Nm at 5,500 rpm instead of 605 Nm compared to lest year's model.

The Lamborghini Supertrophy is a monomarque championship held every year on the most famous race tracks, mainly in Europe. Since 1996 the cars competing in the Lamborghini Supertrophy were the Diablo SVR, a special version of the DIablo SV model adapted for racing. After four years of competition the Diablo SVR has proved the extreme reliability of the Lamborghini engines which could stand four racing seasons with no problems. Quite an achievement for an engine designed for road use and brought to the track with no modifications.

The SV or "Sport Veloce" variant of the Diablo was an optional add-on package to the base car. It lacked the VT's all-wheel-drive system and electronic suspension, but it featured the VT's revised dashboard and larger brakes, a new 3-piece adjustable spoiler and was powered by a modified version of the 5.7 litre V12 producing 510 horsepower (380 kW). The car's air intakes were slightly differently shaped, and from 1999 onwards the vehicle had exposed headlamps as opposed to the pop-up units previous versions used.

Starting with the basic Diablo platform, Lamborghini engineers added a viscous-coupling type all-wheel-drive system, an improved power steering system, resized front wheels and tires chosen to work better with the all-wheel-drive system, four-piston Brembo brake calipers, an updated dashboard design and a new computerized suspension system featuring aggressively tuned Koni shock absorbers. The suspension system could be left in "auto" mode where it was controlled entirely by the computer, or any of four separate "modes" could be manually selected by the driver via buttons in the cabin. The vehicle still lacked ABS brakes.

The Diablo SE (SE standing for "special edition") was first presented in September of 1993. The SE was meant to be a lightweight version of the Diablo. To save weight, the windows were replaced with synthetic glass. The luxurious interior of the Diablo was replaced by a racing interior featuring carbon fiber seats covered in leather and racing harnesses. The air conditioning and CD player were also removed. Power windows and power steering are absent from the car. All of these modifications ended up trimming over 250 pounds from the car's curb weight.
