Ferrari has also reaffirmed the strong link between its GT and sporting divisions with the new F430 Challenge which is specifically designed to meet the expectations of its sportier clients. The F430 Challenge retains the same general look and 490 hp engine as the road-going version. However, it also incorporates a large number of significant track-oriented modifications and a host of new features not seen in the car currently used in the series, the 360 Challenge, which it joins on the track next season and completely replaces in 2007.

The Superamerica's unusual electric roof has been dubbed Revocromico to highlight the unique combination of its rearward rotation movement and electrochromic technology. It has a carbon-fibre structure and the boot capacity remains unchanged whether the roof is open or closed too. The glass rear window also acts as a highly effective wind deflector when the roof is open.

The F430 Spider’s shape is the result of lengthy testing and features a pronounced rear lip spoiler which is integrated into the end of the engine cover, new bigger rear air intakes that emphasise the car’s muscular stance, and a new rear valance that incorporates a diffuser of competition derivation. It will be the debut race for the modified 575 GTC. The Ferrari Corse Clienti department has made changes to the original version with the collaboration of the technical GT head, Maurizio Nardon. The aerodynamics were completely revised with the addition of a new splitter and air intake on the modified bonnet. These changes improve internal air flow. The engine has been totally redesigned and, together with the new cooling tank, results in greater power and better handling. The current torque curve guarantees improved power management and the work on the steering column means that the new car is easier to point into curves and performs more smoothly when in them.

The displacement of the 65° V12 has been increased to 5,997cc with a maximum power output of close to 605 bhp, and the car boasts a sequential shift. The track has been widened, the brakes increased in size and, thanks to the use of composite materials, the body has been lightened. The tubular steel chassis features boxed sections and the all-round wishbone suspension features adjustable antidive geometry.

Ferrari is visiting the past with its upcoming V-12-powered grand tourer, the 612 Scaglietti, naming the car in the old tradition by first listing the engine displacement (6 liters) and then the number of cylinders (12), followed by the name of a man who shaped many of the finest Ferraris, Sergio Scaglietti.

The Ferrari Enzo was built using Formula One technology. Unlike most supercars the Enzo is relatively easy to drive. It isn't close to F1 experience, but this car will bring you nearer to it than any other road car. A sophisticated traction control makes it easy to enjoy it's earth-shrinking performance. Steering is delighted and full of feel. It is not too heavy and not too nervous. Ride is firm but tolerable, while chassis is extremely stable.

The key elements of the new 575M Maranello can be neatly summed up in the model name. In fact, the engine is described by the new numerical code, 575, as this is an abbreviated indication of its capacity, increased from 5500 to 5750 cc, resulting in an increase in both power and torque. The letter M, an abbreviation of 'modified,' underlines the fact that changes have been wrought to all areas of the model's performance. Just a few weeks after Porsche debuted their freshly revised GT3 RSR, Ferrari replied with this car, the 360 GTC. Based on the newly homologated Challenge Stradale (as opposed to the 360 Modena) corresponding improvements have been made to the aerodynamics and drivetrain. An extra 15bhp has been found thanks to new Marelli MR3 engine management, the GTC producing 445bhp at 8750rpm, this peak output being realised 250rpm higher than before. The gearbox software has also been upraded, but the most striking changes are found outside.

Spa-Francorchamps, Sunday 30th August Michael Schumacher: retired at the end of lap 25 after an accident Eddie Irvine: retired after spinning off the track on lap 26 There were two starts to the Belgian Grand Prix. Irvine was involved in the first accident along with other 11 cars and took the re-start in the spare car (chassis 186). At the second start, Michael went into second place and Eddie was third.
