Auckland (New Zealand) At the annual Auckland intermarque concours held last 19th February, for the first time ever Ferrari took top honours, taking best car of show and best team. Up against 20 odd teams from Porsche, Jaguar, Alfa Romeo, MG, Lotus etc, Ferrari entered a 456GT, 328GTS and Daytona. The 456GT was delivered new to it's owner in September last year, and was used to tour around the UK before being shipped back to New Zealand, surviving the best efforts of the local wharfies to trash the white leather interior. The car is metallic maroon and won best car of the show with a huge effort by owner John Sager. The 328GTS owned by Lloyd Kenny is used as a weekend car and always taken on club runs. This is definitely not a pampered car, and it is a credit to Lloyd's hard work. The Daytona has had a chassis up rebuild stretching over a number of years, and this car is now at it's peak, running very strongly and looking better than the day it was delivered from the factory. Owner John Cox must be very pleased with the results.
