This race will be crucial for the rest of the championship, as it could at least leave the door open for a final showdown for the title. I feel that the Spa circuit is probably the most beautiful natural track which we visit during the Formula One season. Ferrari will align two F 300 with the longer wheelbase, already tried at last week's Monza test and during Friday's free practice at the German GP." Michael Schumacher "Spa is a quite unique circuit. No other circuit can match the beauty of this track. Everything about Spa is special. Everyone knows that this is my favourite race. It is just tremendous especially going through the magnificent "Eaux Rouge" corner, but it is not only challenging in "Eaux Rouge" there is "Blanchimont" as well and others. Spa is number one for me. Here it is essential to plan the pit-stop strategy very carefully again. I think we should be as competitive as in Hungary." Luckily, I think we have just that this year, so it should be very different to '97 when I was not happy with my car.
